The goal of this assignment is to create a digital presence for Joe's Arcade, which specializes in retro video games. Unfortunately, Joe doesn't have the time or money to create a full-blown website.
Fortunately, this isn't a big problem. We can use social media to get the word out about Joe's. Since we are limited in time and money, it makes sense to start by focusing on the most popular social networks. Since Joe's is targeted toward a younger demographic, I would almost certainly start with a Facebook page. That at least allows us to post contact information, photos, and event information. As time permits, we might wish to add pages on other sites such as Twitter, Instagram, and Pinterest.
However, as mentioned with Assignment 1, a poorly done presence can be worse than none at all, so I would recommend not trying to do too many sites too quickly. Also, since video can be time-consuming to handle, I wouldn't recommend trying to do too much with video at the beginning.
Since the assignment instructions suggest doing something we haven't done before, I posted a photo album to Picasa/Google+. I wanted to do something focusing on the visual element, and this approach combines social features with more photo-centric features on a site like Flickr.
